Meet Dr. Wayne Dobbins

  • Read Bio

    Dr. Wayne Dobbins, DDS, MS has always had a passion for pediatric dentistry and orthodontics!


    Dr. Dobbins is one of the few dentists in North America to be residency trained in orthodontics and pediatric dentistry. The result is an engaged, better-aware, and informed parent who becomes an active partner in the treatment plan and design.


    Dr. Dobbins is an active member in many dental associations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD) and the American Association of Orthodontics (AAO). Dr. Dobbins is always eager to learn the latest and most innovative techniques to assist in treatment. He has an individualized approach and the compilation of extensive dental expertise that plays a vital role in “smile design”.


    Dr. Dobbins was born and raised in Mesa, AZ where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.00 GPA from Arizona State University. Following his undergraduate education, he took a two-year hiatus to volunteer as a missionary for his church in Boston, Massachusetts.


    After which he received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (D.D.S.) degree from SUNY Buffalo School of Dental Medicine and later earned an orthodontic Certificate from The University of Oklahoma, the #1 orthodontic training program in the country. He followed this time by working as an orthodontist in Overland Park and then finishing a pediatric dental residency at New York University (NYU).


    Dr. Dobbins enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters. His hobbies include an array of sports and outdoor activities. He and his family are active members of their local church and feel blessed to call Overland Park their home.

Meet Dr. Anna Lee

    Dr. Anna Lee, DDS, appreciates patient’s anxieties when it comes to dental care and seeks to put them at ease with her calm demeanor and fun personality.


    As her patient, you can expect conservative yet comprehensive care. Her favorite part about being a dentist is the opportunity to meet and build relationships with families as they grow.


    Dr. Lee was born and raised in Kansas City and is grateful to be giving back to her community. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Chemistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City. During her undergraduate studies, she was employed in dentistry and spent many hours volunteering for Smiles Change Lives. Dr. Lee served a dental mission trip in Samoa that further solidified her desire to become a dentist. She then attended UMKC School of Dentistry, where she honed her skills for best serving patients. Dr. Lee is a member of multiple dental associations including the American Dental Association (ADA), the Kansas Dental Association (KDA), and the American Association for Women Dentists (AAWD).


    Outside of the office, she loves to spend time with her husband and son. She also enjoys being in nature, baking, and exploring the city that she loves to call home.

Meet Dr. Ron Marquez

    Dr. Ron Marquez, DDS loves being a Pediatric Dentist! He understands that the dental office can be a stressful environment for children and parents. To help families overcome this stress Dr. Marquez focuses on patience, empathy, and humor to help each family leave with a lasting smile.


    Dr. Marquez was born and raised in Albuquerque, NM where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from UNM. During his undergraduate education Dr. Marquez was employed at the state’s Center for Development and Disability where he worked with children and gained valuable knowledge and a passion for working with those on the Autism Spectrum. He later attended dental school at UMKC where he received the prestigious Arthur Iwerson Award for excellence in pediatric dentistry.


    After dental school, Dr. Marquez attended residency at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, one of the top children’s hospitals in the nation. In residency he was selected and served as Chief Resident – Go Chiefs! Dr. Marquez is an active member of a number of dental associations including the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), the Kansas Dental Association (KDA), and the American Dental Association (ADA).


    Dr. Marquez and his wife have known each other since middle school. They stay busy trying to keep up with their young energetic daughter. As a family, they enjoy exploring the outdoors, trying new restaurants, spending time with family and friends, and cheering on our Kansas City sports teams.

Meet Dr. Kent Mann

    Dr. Kent Mann has always found working with children extremely rewarding. He is a firm believer in the early prevention of dental problems and in educating families about life-long habits that lead to healthy, happy teeth. Dr. Mann loves the opportunity to form lasting relationships of trust, patience and understanding with both parents and children.


    Dr. Mann graduated Summa Cum laude with a dual major in both Biology and Chemistry from UMKC. After graduating, he attended Temple University Kornberg School of Dentistry in Philadelphia where he served in multiple leadership roles and outreach committees, many centered on the pediatric population of Philadelphia. After completion of dental school, Dr. Mann completed an Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry Residency at the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he was chosen by attending faculty and co-residents to serve as the Chief Resident. Dr. Mann has a special interest in interacting and providing care for children with special health care needs. His approach recognizes the need to meet children on their level and find ways to provide care to children on their terms. Dr. Mann is committed to life-long learning. He is an active member of both the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the Kansas Dental Association.


    Outside of dentistry, Dr. Mann and his wife have two young children that give their life purpose. He is an avid sports fan, who is passionate about both Philadelphia and Kansas City sports teams. Dr. Mann was a scholar college athlete earning Academic All-American honors as a lacrosse player. Dr Mann and his family love traveling together, eating great food (especially pizza) and making new friends.

Meet Dr. Arthur Silva

    Dr. Arthur Silva is passionate about working with apprehensive patients and those with special healthcare needs. He recognizes that treating your children is a privilege, is dedicated to providing the highest level of care, and takes pride in treating every child like they are one of his own. He strongly believes in giving every child the tools they require for a successful dental visit and understands the tool kit may be different for each child.


    Dr. Silva graduated from Brigham Young University where he obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Neuroscience. He then went on to attend the University of Louisville School of Dentistry to earn his DMD. While in dental school, he served as class president for four years and was involved in many clubs. In addition, he started an interest group for pediatric dentistry. After graduating dental school, Dr. Silva moved to the east coast and completed his pediatric dental residency at Nemours Children’s Hospital in Delaware, where he served as chief resident.


    Dr. Silva is married to his wife, Kaileen, and together they have three children. He loves outdoor activities, especially swimming, as well as spending time with his family. On the weekends, you can find Dr. Silva rooting for his kids at their soccer games and hosting BBQs. Dr. Silva is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese and is excited to bring his passion and enthusiasm for pediatric dentistry to Kansas City.

Meet Dr. Emily Meyer

    Dr. Emily Meyer, DDS, grew up in both Pennsylvania and Washington D.C. She earned her undergraduate degree from Pennsylvania State University before attending dental school in Baltimore at the University of Maryland. Dr. Meyer went on to complete her pediatric residency at NYU Langone Hospitals, earning the title of Chief Resident. She moved to Kansas City while her husband completed his medical residency at UMKC. Dr. Meyer loves being an integral part of our team and community. She will always put what’s best for your child and their smile above all else. She and her husband, Louis, have been together for over a decade and have one son. In her free time, she loves traveling, visiting family, playing with their puppy, Archie, golfing, doing peloton workouts, and hiking.

Meet Dr. Mary B. Wilkinson

    Dr. Mary B. Wilkinson recently joined the Sweet Tooth Orthodontics team in 2025, and she is the primary orthodontist in our Overland Park, Olathe, and Shawnee locations. We are honored to have Dr. Wilkinson join our team, and we are confident that she will provide excellent orthodontic care and outstanding customer service for you and your family. She has been practicing in the Kansas City area since 2019 and is passionate about  building beautiful smiles that will last a lifetime.


    Dr. Mary B. Wilkinson is a native Texan who fell in love with Kansas City when she moved here for residency. Originally from Houston, Texas, she graduated from Texas A&M University with Honors before receiving her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston. Throughout college, she held positions in many organizations and was notably awarded the Greater Houston Dental Society Student Scholarship. This scholarship is presented annually to one dental student who displays leadership, commitment to community service, and excellent academic standing.


    Additionally, Dr. Wilkinson has a passion for mission work which stemmed from volunteer experiences with the non-profit Amigos de las Américas. Since then, she has spent time in Guatemala, Nicaragua, and Honduras doing dental mission work. In recognition for her service and dedication, she was awarded the Academy of Dentistry International Student Servant Leadership Award upon graduation from dental school.


    She grew up spending much of her time at her parents’ bookstore and has a love for good books. In her spare time she also enjoys bike riding, watching live theater and  music, and trying out new coffee shops with her husband Joe and their two sons, Casey and Luke.

Meet Dr. Bryan Henrie

  • Read Bio

    Dr. Bryan Henrie grew up in Leawood, Kansas and Atlanta, Georgia. After 7 years of practicing as an attorney, an exciting career change took him to the University of Utah, where he earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery Degree. Upon discovering his passion for helping children, he then completed a Pediatric Dental Residency at the University of Minnesota.


    Fluent in Spanish and an active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, Dr. Henrie has participated in multiple international dental trips, including two trips to Mexico that he organized through his charitable organization. His favorite part of pediatric dentistry is connecting with his patients, and he believes that keeping kids healthy is the BEST job ever. As a member of the Sweet Tooth Pediatric Dentistry & Orthodontics Team, he is looking forward to setting his patients up for a lifetime of dental success.


    Dr. Henrie has been a dedicated Chiefs, Royals, and Jayhawks fan his whole life, which makes his return to the Kansas City area even more exciting. In his free time, he enjoys hiking and biking with his four children.
